We have stayed at Lower Whinhill multiple times, it offers great space, views and a beautiful location.
A lovely home from home. Well located for exploring the Highlands, excellent secure garden for the dogs, and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage was clean and well presented, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend.
Lower and Wester Whinhill are properties we have rented every year for at least 12 years, depending on availability to meet our dates. We will be back next year. That is how good it is.
Ideal place for family break. Very clean and tidy facilities. Handy for Dornoch and the NC500. Beautiful views from the house and nothing was too much trouble for the host. Dog friendly secure garden. Close to beach the dogs and family had a blast.
Lovely property with wonderful views. Very well equipped with everything you could need. Comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. Walking distance to Dornoch which we did. Enjoyed it so much we have already booked for next year.

The beds were so comfy and the conservatory had great views across the Dornoch Firth. Saw lots of geese.The location was good for walking into Dornoch. Did lots of walking and cycling. Spotlessly clean and superbly comfortable accommodation with stunning views over the Dornoch Firth. The weather was mainly kind so we loved having breakfast on the decked area in the morning and enjoyed a gin and tonic in the evening sun. Great location for all Dornoch has to offer whilst being tucked away in a peaceful corner.
Beautiful setting, spacious and comfortable, well equipped. Views over the Dornoch Firth are amazing. We had an excellent stay, and can’t wait to visit again.
Fantastic, well equipped house with easy access to the beach, forest trails and Dornoch. Fully enclosed garden with fruit trees facing the Dornoch firth. House was very comfortable and the kitchen also well equipped. Would definitely recommend especially if you have dogs.
The property was immaculate and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The weather was lovely which meant we could enjoy the great view from the decking. This is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway.
